It’s time for the USA’s birthday again, only it’s kind of a big deal: it’s been 250 years since the Declaration of Independence was signed. That moment was when America began as a young country with ideals that include liberty, equality, and democracy.
Notice the word began, lol. Still working out the kinks, of course, even today. But I feel honored to be a part of this country. Most Americans that I know embrace diversity and appreciate the differences in people. America is meant to be a place of freedom. People can practice their own ideals, while still respecting their neighbors’ choices.
No matter what’s going on in your world, including anxiety (who doesn’t have some of it?), I hope you can take a moment to focus on inner peace and try to see the good people that are all around us. I know it’s tough focusing on the good when so much is going on, but you’ve got this!
