| It’s time to zero in on the things that make us smile–the tiny joys that happen every single day. So, I’m pretty aware that this blog can seem a bit…of a downer sometimes. I guess to me, the tough stuff is where so much growth can happen, so it’s easy to talk for a long time about anxiety, existential dread…you know, the normal stuff. 😉 I get a personal benefit from facing these tough things by processing them via writing, and I hope that others who are feeling alone at the moment don’t feel quite as alone after coming to this site. But I want to focus on fun things today, which is another thing we can all relate to. And there will be more of that in the future, too! Actually, it’s kinda important to focus on fun–joy–every day, in some form. And lucky for me, happiness can come in so many forms! Tiny Joys like: My husband got home early from work. My cup of coffee is just the right amount of creamy and sweet. (I’m not a black coffee gal, lol.) My sweet, wonderful senior dogs had a good day of minimal accidents in the house. (Yes, we are in a difficult season of life at the moment.) I can stay cozy in a blanket on the couch, writing this very blog post. And that’s just this afternoon! Every day before, there were many more reasons to count blessings. I want to shine a light on the fullness of life–in moments of comfort, the mundane, even, it’s so nice to feel at home. It’s nice to never take for granted the “small” things that aren’t really so small, are they? |
