After I realized that I would love to have a t-shirt that had my enneagram type on it, I thought, wouldn’t it be fun to have each type represented by an animal? Below, I’ve got a list briefly explaining the types AND why the animal was chosen to symbolically represent its type. So fun!
Type Ones are wise and perfectionistic, so an owl naturally made sense!
Golden retrievers represent Type Twos, because they are so ready to help others.
Type Threes are so driven and focused that horses really fit the personality well.
Cats exemplify Type Fours so well because they value authenticity and tend to be beautifully independent.
Type Fives like to take a step back and think things through before acting, like a fox.
Squirrels illustrate the awesome way Type Sixes expertly plan ahead (like stocking up for the winter)!
Type Sevens are playful and full of life, like dolphins!
Bears symbolize Type Eights, because they have a tough exterior, but are actually quite nurturing to those they love.
Type Nines parallel the unassuming deer–harmonious and gentle.
